On Our Way...

...and so it began.

It was a week where all the talk was about going on the big adventure.  The three boys packed and repacked all their stuff.  They didn't have much to begin with but pack and repack they did.  The girls could only sit back and watch, forlorn and disappointed that it was not their turn.

On Thursday, just after breakfast, as we were having our morning nap, Grams snuck in and before we knew it both Max and Owsley had disappeared.  Just like that!  We never had a chance to say goodbye, we will see you soon or nothing.  Humans, who can figure them out.  Don't they realize we have feelings?  We found out when Gramps came home near supper what had happened to the two boys.  They went on a long car ride to the United States (wherever that is) over the mountains to the ocean.  A place called Skagway.  There they took a 45-minute flight to Juneau in a small plane to begin adventures in their forever homes.  According to gramps everything went well.  The boys arrived safe and sound.  They were greeted by not so strange people (we had their smells to tell us who was who from the blankets and stuffies they had sent us).  Before you could say 'jack rabbit' Owsley was gone.  He went to meet Yukon his cousin, and grampa Ben.  Max had two more flights to go with grampa Jim - Fairbanks through Anchorage.  We heard that Max was really tired cause they didn't get home till after mid-night.

On Friday it happened again!  This time in the afternoon.  We had just come in from playing outside and within no time Griffin was gone - just like that.  Spooky...  Grams told us that he was off to his new home in some place that makes chocolate stuff.  He was met by a little human, Matthew, and a lady named grama Paula.  After he got to Victoria he had another 2  hour drive north to Nanaimo.  He arrived safe and sound.  In his photo he looks happy.

It sure was quiet here last evening and this morning.  Just us girls left.  The rowdy boys are gone.  Mom has played with us.  Grams and gramps come to see us often.  Grams says that Lucy will be going to Victoria on Monday.  She will be on the same big plane that Griffin flew in.  That will leave just me.  I get to stay here with Grams and Gramps along with my very big extended family of parents, grandparents, aunts and cousins.

Both Lynn and I would like to extend our thanks to all who have followed the Peanut Gang over the past weeks.  It has been another grand adventure.  We are ever so proud to have placed our pups with adopting families that we know will give them love, care and attention for the rest of their lives.  To these folks we especially want to thank you for being guardians to one of the best breeds in dogdom...

So, until next our next litter we hope you enjoyed your visits with us...
